Going to the Ballpark!

Now that we are nearing summer there is nothing better than getting outside and taking in a baseball game. This year looked a little different for us since we have our little one but it turns out that the ballpark was actually a great place to take our 9 month old to. Despite sporting events having strict rules regarding what type of bag you can have there are exceptions for diaper bags and coolers for baby milk and children two and under are free as long as they sit in your lap so this is a pretty affordable way to take the family out.

My one piece of advice is to do your research on what seats will work best for your family. I made the mistake of buying tickets that put us right in the sun for most of the game which usually wouldn’t be an issue in May except that it was 80 degrees the day we went to the game. Fortunately I brought sunscreen and plenty of milk but we did have to take several breaks to go walk in the shaded areas to keep cool. There are also spots that don’t have good views of the big screen or the action so depending on what experience your family is expecting it doesn’t hurt to take a few extra minutes and Google some reviews on different sections.

Other than that the ballpark is set up to entertain kids of all ages. While our little one was too small to partake in the Kids Zone she really enjoyed all of the music, the people, and trying all the ballpark food! She couldn’t stop smiling the whole game and even managed to stay awake until the end. While the game didn’t go in our home teams favor it was just fun watching her take in all the sights, smells, and sounds. We will definitely be back for more games and I hope this will lead to some great memories that our daughter will remember forever.

I’m Michelle

I think life is all about making special moments. Since having our little one this has become a little harder but it has also given me even more reason to go all out in parenting, date nights, self-care, and traveling the world with the people I love. I am always looking for new ideas on how to improve in all of these areas so I hope these posts will also serve as inspiration for you as you search for ways to make your own special moments.
